Quilter's Challenge
All Quilts are in!
Bears Quilt Shop(BQS) hosteda quilter's challenge in 2005. Wehad a specialbundle of fabrics and distributed them to someofour localquilt guilds for their door prize drawings (if your guild has not heard from us, don't hesitate to give us a call.)
The challenge bundle will be fromour Roc-lonfabrics collection. The break down of the fat eighthyard cuts is:

8colors of BQS hand dyed tone on tone prints

3prints from the extra wideDyansty Collection

1 ofthe extra wide solids from theDynasty Collection
That is a total of 24 fat eight cuts of fabric or a total of 3 yards.
The grand prize for this year's challengewas an Elna 6003QT Quilter's Dream Ultra Sewing Machine from Singer Sewing Center of Orange County. The machinecomes with many features. A list of some of them includes:an extension table; two walking feet; two free motion embroidery feet; quarter inch foot; and computerized memory just to name a few.
First and second prizes will have special categories for those who have never entered a contest before, as well as you experienced contestants. So everyone has a chance to win! This is a small, local contest, and everyone should feel they are capable of entering a quilt.
There will also be honorable mention prize winnersthat will receive fabric from our line of Roc-lonextra wide fabrics.
The challenge will be judged in the middle ofthe month of August 2005 and we look forward to seeing how creative everyone is. As we release the bundles, we will be posting additional information here on the website.
